KRX was formed in 2005 through the integration of Korea Stock Exchange, Korea Futures Exchange, and KOSDAQ. The exchange operates KOSPI for large-cap stocks and KOSDAQ for technology and growth companies, along with derivatives and bond markets. KRX has modernized Korean capital markets through electronic trading platforms and comprehensive market infrastructure. The exchange operates the KOSPI 200 and KOSDAQ Composite indices as key market benchmarks. KRX provides integrated trading, clearing, and settlement services and has implemented various market development initiatives including market makers and foreign access programs. Trading hours are 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM KST with continuous trading throughout the session.
