Euronext was formed in 2000 through the merger of stock exchanges in Paris, Amsterdam, and Brussels, later expanding to include Lisbon, Milan, Dublin, and Oslo. The group uses a common trading platform (Optiq) and central counterparty clearing through LCH SA.
