DTCC
Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation
Major US financial market infrastructure providing clearing, settlement, and information services.
DTCC operates critical infrastructure for US financial markets including the Depository Trust Company (DTC) for custody and settlement, National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC) for trade clearing, and Fixed Income Clearing Corporation (FICC) for government and mortgage securities. DTCC processes virtually all US securities transactions, holding over $40 trillion in securities. The organization provides trade confirmation, netting, risk management, and settlement services across asset classes. DTCC also operates important data services including trade repositories for derivatives reporting and corporate actions processing. Following the 2008 crisis, DTCC enhanced risk management and expanded into derivatives clearing. The organization plays a systemically important role in US financial markets and is subject to comprehensive regulatory oversight.
