Association of National Numbering Agencies

The global organization coordinating national securities identification numbering agencies.

ANNA was established in 1992 to coordinate the activities of national numbering agencies responsible for assigning ISINs and maintaining the global securities identification infrastructure. The organization ensures consistent application of ISO 6166 standards across all member countries and regions. ANNA members include agencies like CUSIP Global Services (US/Canada), London Stock Exchange (UK), and other national numbering authorities worldwide. The organization maintains the official ISIN database, coordinates cross-border security identification, and develops standards for emerging asset classes. ANNA also manages the allocation of country codes and oversees the technical infrastructure supporting global securities identification.
